TSURU - is a string that is part of the Shikumi shinai (Structured Shinai). Most of the already made or ready to go shinai has either white or yellow tsuru. Although there is no regulations of changing color of the tsuru, there is a chance that you might need to change your shinai during out in tournaments. (One Tsuru per Order)
